93 covette altenator replacement

I am trying to replace the (I am going to replace)altenator on my 93 vette.The manual says to use a pry bar ,turn the belt tensioner clockwise,I dont see the tensioner,and so I dont know how to adjust or remove the belt to replace the alt.Can anyone tell me how to do this!!I am
in the middle of this ! Anyone out there right now????

Follow the belt around. One of the idler pullys is actually a spring loaded tensioner. It may have a square hole or a bolt to grap with a ratchet or a wrench. Pull on it to creat slack in the belt and the slip it off one of the pulleys. I'd try to leave the routing intact as much as possible because it can be confusing to put back on.
