Air Conditioner switch

I took the compressor, hoses and accumulater off my sons wrecked 93 bonneville 3800 and put it on my 92 Olds 88 (same motor). And I would like to know how to get the compressor to engage so I can charge the system. Thanks

Do you have a vacuum pump to evacuate the system and test equipment to do a leak check? Frankly, since you've done all the expensive work, I would take it to an ac specialty shop to get it recharged. Among other things they can do a leak check after getting it charged.

If you didn't buy a new receiver/drier and install it - stop! Do that before you go any further.

The switch to jumper is on the accumulator but I would make sure I pulled a vacuum and possibly add about 2 ounces of oil to the system.Replacing the accumulator would be a good idea also as would the orifice tube.
