Hose connected to fuel filter

The hose connected to the top of the fuel filter seems to be logged on there really well. I didn't want to apply any kind of lubricant since I know that there must be gas in there. Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the fuel filter? The other option that I thought of was to just cut the hose and then replace it with a new one. I don't have much experience with working on cars so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If it uses a regular hose clamp just grip the hose with pliers and twist until it breaks free it won't be easy.Or you could cut the hose and replace it as you said.
