Oil light problem

I have a '96 Sunfire with 130,000km on it. Occasionally, when the car is cold and I start it up, the oil light will automatically come on as it should but it won't go out automatically like the other indicators such as the ABS.

I then turn the car off and restart and the light again initially comes on like it should and then goes out. I am very meticulous about oil changes and ensuring that there is sufficient oil in the car.

Any suggstions on why this would happen would be appreciated.

Before you get too deep into this I would replace the oil pressure switch and see what happens.
