Flasher problem

I just bought a 1972 chevy 1/2 ton pickup(2 wd) today. The 4 way flashers do not flash. The turn signals blink, but the 4 ways do not. When you turn the 4 ways on, the bulbs light up, but do not flash. I am assuming that since the turn signals work, that the flasher unit is good. Any ideas? Mike

It's possible that you have 2 flashers, one for turn signals, one for hazard lights. If so, replace the hazard flasher.

There are two flasher relays on your truck. They are right next to eachother. Turn on a turn signal and follow the sound until you find it, then feel the two relays to see which one is clicking. Replace the other one.
