door latch repair

have a 2001 ford sport trac, both rear doors are inoperative from the
inside only, can open doors from the outside only. have looded through hole
in door panel, but can see no broken parts. how do I remove the entire door
panel to see the entire door latch assembly? does anyone have same problems?

check the child safety locks...

...open the rear door and look on the jamb area of the door itself and you'll see the little doodad that blocks the inside door release handle from operating the latch. this is so a child can't open the door when the vehicle is in motion. it's doesn't make sense that a vehicle that new would have TWO doors broken at the same time.

2001 ford sport trac door latchs

thanks I did check that first, it so simple I forgot to mention it. they are
in the open position, so the doors still dont opn from the inside, I
did check them again though.
I was wondering if the handle is pulled out to far will it catch on some
thing. I do have two pretty rough kids.
I do thank you for responding
