Question 97 Chrysler LHS

97 Chrysler LHS 3.5L, auto with 101,000 miles

Starting last week the a/c buts cold air for few minutes then goes at best cool air. I check the low pressure with a cheap gauge and it was within the area mark normal. The compressor is not clicking on and off, its stays on even when it putting out cool air. This car has the automatic a\c control, I did the self test on controls and no codes where reported. Now I know 1 line coming from the compressor is suppost to be hot and 1 cold to touch, but 1 is hot and the other is luke warm. Any ideas what might be or where to start checking at?

Thanks

Nobody's going to be able to tell you much without at least knowing High and low pressures both at idle and 2000 RPM. What is the temp of the small line just after the dryer headed for the evaporator.
