check oil light

The Check Oil light on my '96 Cavalier stays on after the engine is started; if I turn the engine off and restart, the light goes out. The crankase is full and the filter is new. This all started after a new starter was installed. What's up? George

Check the connector on the oil level sensor maybe it got knocked loose or broken. If you paid to have the starter done take it back and have them check it.
