disconnecting battery

i was told that after replacing fuel parts ( fuel reg. injectores) that its a good idea to disconnect battery for about a hour to reset the emc.is this true or just a mith.

If you were repairing an over rich or over lean condition, then resetting the adaptives is a good idea but disconnecting the battery won't work on all cars. When it does work, it only takes seconds. Some will require the use of a scanner. The ECM itself will adapt over time but resetting will shorten the trip, assuming it had previously adapted to an existing problem.
