HELP! I CAN'T GET MY 1994 TOYOTA COROLLA TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. I CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND IT IS BETWEEN THE COOL AND HOT MARKS AFTER THE CAR WAS WARMED UP. DOES IT NEED MORE TRANSMISSION FLUID OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE??

I suspect you have a severed shift cable and you have lost contact between your shift lever and the tranny. I suggest you have it towed in to the shop and have it replaced. The agonies of the busted knuckles aren't worth doing the job in the driveway and getting it done on the lift is worth the expense.

My 90 Carolla has a "shift override" button or something similar on the shifter base. Your may too i dont know, but it helps me out when mine does that.
