battery terminal corission

Does anyone out there have a quick tip on how to remove corrosion from car battery terminals? I need to chaange the battery and can't seem to get the corroded terminal removed (nut/bolt not moving). I'v heard that spraying Wd-40 or dousing it with Coke does the trick??

thannks to add in advance for responding...

Baking soda will neutralize the acid. Work it around the terminal with an old , damp, toothbrush. Then the hot water treatment. You may still need a battery terminal puller and need to cut out the old bolt and replace it.
