accelerating and also seems to have lost some power. This problem seems to have happened all of a sudden. Would an exhaust leak cause this, the van does have a little one?

Thanks for any help.

what size engine?
do you know where the exhuast leak is located at?
might start with tuneup and plug wires need more info as an exhuast leak normally wont cause the problem you are describing except when the exhuast gets restricted you will lose power and it will tend to leak out anywhere it can easily.

known for head gaskets

if it is a 3.8, the head gaskets go out. how many miles? the best way to determine this is by pulling the plugs, usually the corner plugs 1,3,4 & 6, will have a greenish tint. if this is the case then figure the gaskets are leaking.
