Inside or outside?

Outside means you'll have to remove the interior door panel for access.

Inside (at least on my 86 & 88 Accords and according to my Haynes manual) they are screw mounted. Carefully pry the cover off with a screwdriver and then remove the three screws holding it in. Make sure you don't lose the rubber damper between the mirror and windshield.

It is inside. Thanks for the information. I had kinda thought that to be the case, but I couldn't get the cover off and before I tried too hard, I just wanted to be sure that was the correct thing to do.
