1990 Mazda transmission fluid loss

Transmission fluid disappears about every 75 miles! No visible leaks, no drops on ground, no fluid on underside of car, shifts fine, runs good, trans starts slipping after about 75 miles; check fluid...and it's low or empty according to the dipstick...Where the he*^ is the fluid going?

If that particular vehicle has a vacuum modulator on the trans, it may be bad allowing fluid to be sucked in and burned. Check for a vacuum line running to the transmission. If you find one, disconnect it at the manifold end and apply a slight vacuum. The vacuum should hold; if not, modulator diaphragm bad - replace modulator.

Thanks! I took the car to a trans shop today and yes it has a modulator and yes it was the problem. Thanks for your time!
