Windshield washer problems

I have a Ford Explorer(1999) The front washer does not work. I checked the fuses, the fluid and what ever else I could find connected to the washers. The rear one works well. The pump seems to work very well with the rear washer. I do not get any voltage at the pump when the washer switch is depressed on the turn signal switch. Does any one have an idea as to what to look for or check or do I have to have the whole turn signal switch replaced?

Follow the wires back from the pump and see if the wires are damaged.

If you cannot find a problem and do not want to tear into the steering colum or replace the switch just pick up a fused circuit or use an inline fuse. Then just put a push type switch near the driver and wire direct to the pump.

play with the switch

try pushing in on the switch several times. they are known for bad multi function switches, and they're not too hard to replace. just remove the shroud around the column, you will need a t15 torx bit to remove the switch screws. also check the terminals going into the connectors to make sure they're not pulled out.
