Isuzu water pump

I would like to change my water pump on my 95 Rodeo Isuzu, but I am told I need a special tool other than wrenches, etc. What kind of tool would this be and for what use? Timing belt maybe? HELP!!!

hotrod,

i don't know if the waterpump is the same as in my truck (i have a 91 1500 1/2 chevy 4x4) but when i replaced the waterpump all i needed was a flathead screw driver (for the serpentine belt) a ratchet (for the bolts) and two monkey wrenches to losen the tension on the serpentine belt. The serpentine belt was the hardest of the whole thing. but that is what i needed. hopefylly it will be easier for you. good luck and i hope it doesn't lead to other issues like my truck did.
