1998 Ford Escort - Front, Wheel bearing replacement
I have a 1998 Ford Escort, 5 speed manual. The drivers side front wheel bearing is going out. Does anyone have any "how-to" insight on replacing this or does anyone know of any pic-torials out there? I've also heard that it is just easier to replace the whole Hub assembly rather than to repack the bearing. Not sure what I should do yet. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I believe you will find the bearing is not servicable, and you have to remove the spindle to have a new bearing pressed in.
