squealling tires

I have a question that I hope someone could help with. I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I've only had the vehicle for 2 months with no other problems. My tires squeal quite noisely when I'm driving very slowly and making a sharp right or left turn. I notice this when I driving through the drive through for coffee. I'm only travelling about 2 or 3 miles an hour and it sounds like I'm driving the Indy. Does this have something to do with the tire pressure? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Here's my 2cents...does the sound go away when you step on the brakes? Does it sound like metal grinding? If so,check the brakes. Rotors probably need to be recut, since you're there, may as well put one some new pads as well. Hope that helps. Good luck

Coffee drive thru? Hmmm, If that's the only time you hear it, wait till you get other symtoms. It could be quite normal for a short low speed radius turn. Jeep, huh, I drive a Ford Explorer. Different social class, huh.

low speed tire squeal...

...is pretty normal considering the size of the tires and thr forces at low speed while turning sharply. low tire pressure CAN accentuate this as can the surface of the pavement, so check tire pressure and adjust to manufacturer specs only...

Squealing tires

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely get my tire pressure checked.

And should be checked regularly too!
