A/C clutch?

recently every time I turn on the A/C or defrost I hear a rapid clicking noise. Sometimes it will running fine and put out cool air for a minute then it starts the clicking again. Does this sould like the clutch on the front of the compressor is bad? Is this something I can fix myself?

1995 Dodge Dakota
3.9L V6

Thanks,
Sven

no it doesnt sound like a clutch problem I would recomend taking it by a shop to have the a/c system checked could be low on freon and may have a leak.

How would low freon cause it to click?
I guess I'll spend the money and have someone else fix it.

Thanks for the quick reply
