nissan micra 1994.sometimes wont start

nissan micra 1994.sometimes wont start

car wont start.Iturn on engine it wont kick over.no rev.could it be the battery or starting motor.

could be either

First check the battery terminals
Even if they look OK, loosen and pull off the connections and clean them up
Make sure they are snug when you put them back on
If it's an intermitent problem it's not likely a worn battery, but you should get some voltage readings from it anyway
After that maybe a starter check is in order

Some more info about the vehicle and the circumstances that it won't start would be helpful (after not being started for a day, when it's wet out, just whenever it feels like it, etc.)

hi thanks for info.

The problem seems to only happen when it is damp out in the morning.

Check the wiring on/to the starter also
Everything must be clean and snug
Look for corrosion, in/on any wiring in these areas (batt. start.)
