GM seatbelts sticking. Repair???

Got an 89 chevy suburban. the seatbelts are sticking. won't pull out smoothly, keep locking. lock when you go over bumps as well. Any way to service the mechanism or is it time for new ones?

if there is...

..a foreign object in the retractor, you could remove it and that may take care of the situation. if not...there are no service procedures, nor would it be advisable to take it apart and then reuse it. find replacements is the best course of action

Had similiar issue with my 89' pkup. tried WD-40 in ratcheting mechinism. worked fine after that. Attributed the problem to years of dust and such gummimg the guts.
