Honda Civic EX 1990 Automatic Transmission 1st gear
It is starting to stick in 1st gear when I first start the car after it has been setting for four (4) hours..... then it runs fine. Why am I being logged off???? this is the 3rd time I have tried to post this question????
Added information: It is a 1.6L engine and I just had a new alternator put in and had just the week before had the transmission fluid changed. The transmission place (A+ Transmissions) said the transmission was in good shape. Now a week later there is this problem starting... Please help me....

I do not know of anyone that makes transmission fluid for Honda's except Honda. Many use Dexron but like trinitro said you are likely to have problems.
Check your recipt and if they did not use Honda fluid you need to have them change it before any more damage is done. Honda says to drain and fill, drive a short distance and repeat 3 times. That is what my owners manual says. If it were me I would do it more than 3 times. If you want it done right you better watch them do it and watch what fluid they use. It is your transmission!!!!
