91 Dodge Dynasty, Battery Problem

My 91 dodge dynasty remained unused for about 6 months. I occasionaly turned on the ignition and the car seemed to be ok. The other day, the car couldnt be started so I got a jump start. It worked..but only 3/4 days later the same thing happened.

Can you please tell me if this is just a battery, or the alternator. Any suggestions? Thanks

Depends on the age of the battery and also on whether you got it up to fully charged the last time it wa running. In order to properly check it out you need the battery at full cahrge and to take it somewhere that has the proper test equipment to see if the battery or alternator are at fault. You might also have a related problem like a bad terminal(s) on the battery cables.
