1990 Toyota Corolla Starter

How do I reach the starter to replace it on this car without taking the car apart? Any help would be appreciated.

4-FE engine?

It's not easy to reach
The more of those hoses you remove the easier it will be to get to the bolts and get a hand on it
I think 2 or 3 oughta do it
Maybe even disconnect the speedometer cable from the transmission
You'll have to raise the front of the vehicle and pull it out from underneath
It's tricky but it'll come out
I think when you are under the vehicle looking up it's easier to see the bolts, but they are easier to get to from up top
A helper would be a great idea, one up top, one underneath
Especially when it comes time to line up the new one
It also has to be installed from underneath, but it's hard to line it up by yourself (on your back in your driveway)
