Daytime running lights stay on after truck is turned off

i have a 1997 chev.1/2 ton pickup. the daytime running light stay on after truck is turned off. have to pull relay at fuse box under dash to get lights off.the relay makes a bussing noise. replaced with new relay, still has noise, lights will turn off when i turn key off. I can push parking brake one click the bussing stops.daytime running lights are off. need help finding problem thanks

Not quite sure how the setup is on your truck, but on my car, the DRL comes on/off when the hand brake is pulled/released. The DRL is generally controlled by the brake....not the headlite switch. You might have a bad contact at the Parking Brake?!?!

it is most likely the DRL module
it is located behind the left side of the instrment panal
