Problems with Nissan Truck

I have a 1993 Nissan hard body pickup. The engine starts right up when it is cold. But if I drive a few miles, then shut it off, the engine won't start. i have to wait a while, then start it. The engine turns over, but it won't start. Is this a starter problem? Thanks.

Not a starter problem if the engine is turning over; that's all the starter does. First thing I would do is check for spark when it's in its no-start condition. Pull a spark plug wire loose at the plug and hold it near a ground source (metal engine or body part) while someone cranks the engine. This will give you a clue as to whether you are looking at an ignition problem or need to look at other possibilities.
