adjust timing with HEI

Hi All,
I have a 94 GMC K1500 4x4 5.7L 5 speed manual. I would like to check my timing but am unable to locate the timing connector to enter bypass mode to disable timing advance. I have searched everywhere I can think it may be with now luck. PLEASE HELP

IIRC, I believe that one is located under the right side of the dash next to the kick panel. I think the wire is tan.

If the distributor has never been touched the timing will be fine. Are you having a problem you think adjusting the timing will solve?

The correct location of the set timing connector is inside the cab where the heater box and the carpet meet on the passenger side floor. Pull carpet back to expose the single wire and connectors on the outside of the control module harness. The wire colors are tan with a black stripe.
