if it's a true air suspension...

...then it's more than just shocks. coil springs would replace the air springs. if it has a level ride type of thing that uses air in conjunction with the hydraulic shocks, you should just be able to replace the shocks with a high quality replacement and disable the compressor.

expedition

actually iit does have a leveling supension, it lowers down when the ignition is off in the rear, and when its started it raises up, according to the weight in the truck

then...

...the conversion job is a much larger and more costly undertaking. try contacting a local parts supplier. some of the big suspension aftermarket companies like Moog make conversions...esp for fords...to convert them to a conventional coil spring and shock arrangement.
