Non-functioning Temperature Gauge

I have a 1994 Chevy G30 Van. V8, 350. It has an instrumet cluster that includes analog temp, oil pressure and voltage. The Temperature gauge does not seem to work. I just had the sending unit mounted on the engine replaced and it still doesn't work. Any thoughts on troubleshooting? Can the temp gauge be replaced without messing with the other gauges or the odometer?

Either the wiring between the sender and the cluster is bad or the cluster is bad.No the cluster is one unit with all the guages inside.
