Air compressors

I,m looking for a ai comp for my home garage.I do auto repair ,but would like to do some body work.I,m told that I need at least 12cfm.I hear that 2 stage last longer? And are more expensive.I see a Ingersol Rand in Tractor Supply .One is a 80 gal single stg. at 18cfm for $749 or the one for$1000 thatis a two stage at 17cfm. Will the single stage be loud and take longer to fill.Or will it not be noticable difference?I also saw a Delta 80 gal in Sams club 2 stage at 16cfm for $767 Delta ,s web has no mention of this compressor.I like the looks of it and the price but is it a cheap chineese knock off? will it last Can it be serviced parts???? l

PS
Sam's club has "special" models for them only
Usually some features have been dropped to keep the price down
These can be very important to a serious user but don't nessesarily "add value" (their words) to their average customer
