toyota oil filter housing

2004 Toyota Tacoma 2.4L engine.I noticed on the oil filter housing there is a plug tapped into the side.Can I use this to insall a mechanical oil pressure bulb?All it has now is a idiot light I would like both.

Can't find any info on that plug.

Best to use a tee on the sender for the lite.

You would want to measure pressure in the galley any way. Measuring pressure towards the end of the lube system is better indication of the lube system health than at the source.

OK Larry I will look around for the T for the light I am pretty sure that it is somehow hooked into the computer so I will have to leave that circuit I want both anyway light and guage.

It's not but a lite and guage is a good thing.
