93 ford areostar 3.0 flooding

My areostar floods when cold. This problem goes away when engine is up to operating temp. After cold start (if it starts) it runs on 4 or 5 cylinders and won't excelerate. Engine will rev if not under load. Any idea whats causing this?

I'm by no means an expert, so this is just a helpful suggestion. - I have the same vehicle, used to have the same problem . I got rid of it by changing the fuel pressure regulator . This is at the very front of the block top, slightly to passenger side. It's a ***** to get at as it's usually covered by other pipes and wirelooms. Hope that helps

You can answer the fuel regulator question by merely checking the operating and rest pressures. It sounds like you may have something weak in the ignition system. How old are the plugs and wires? Find out how strong your spark is.
