cv joints

cv joints

hey i am about ready to pull the engine on a 94 dodge shadow, and i have to pull the front cv joints to get the engine out, and i can't seem to get them out. i have pulled the bolts out that go to the transmission, but i cantget the cv joints out. i would really appreciate any help possible, thanks!!!

You first have to remove the outboard side, then the engine side. Take them out of the wheel hub first. The engine side is usually held in only by a clip which pops out of its channel when you pry the joint out.
