Carbon Monoxide in my car???

My wife drives a 1989 Merc Grand Marque. She thought that the inside of her car smelled like the exhaust fumes from the rear of the car. She also noticed that she had a mild headache. Is it possible to get Carbon Monoxide poisoning while driving a car?

What should I check for?

Is there a cheap way to have the inside tested for those fumes?

Any advice?

Oh, yeah, definitely possible. I would recommend you take it to a shop that does strictly exhaust work and have the entire exhaust system checked. Probably going to find an exhaust leak somewhere in the system.

Fumes can be drawn in if you been "tapped" in the rear and the trunk dosen't seal properly or the seal is damaged.
