i need to replace the front swaybar links in my '97 dodge intrepid. Is this a project a novice mechanic can handle or best left to a pro?

You can do it but if you have a propane torch to heat the nuts(nylon locked)it will be much easier.Don't heat the strut tube though just the nuts to melt the nylon. You will of course need new nuts to install the new links.
