Does anyone know the symptoms of broken belts in tires.

Also if you lift the car and spin the tire slowly, it will be noticably deformed. Also look for spots that have much less tread than the rest of the tire.

Not to be confused with slight depressions that are actually seams. A bubble is always a problem but since there are no belts in the sidewall, you can't have a separation in that area.

..True. But where the 'belts' (for the tread/seams) meet the sidewalls of the tire, COULD be an issue. Rare perhaps, but thats what happened to me on the RR tire once. Scared the sh** out of me and my passengers. Was able to handle the blowout and brought the car to a safe stop and changed to the spare.
A slight 'bulge' on the sidewall is normal, for the seam of the sidewall...but if the bulge is large .. I'd have it checked out sooner than later.
