Stuck ignition

I have a 2000 Focus and the ignition won't turn when I go to start the car. It happened during the storm that just hit and I thought maybe it was frozen because the key was hard to insert at first. I have tried two keys, I thought maybe it was the steering lock, but I tried moving the steering wheel as I tried to start it and that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

Key Problem?

These cars have a problem with the key and tumbler assembly. Install the key and littely tap on the back of the key while turning. This assembly will have to be replaced. They can re-key the lock cylinder to the original key.

I was afraid of this from what I researched on the internet. If I am lucky they will have another recall on this car in the future so I can be refunded the money that will be spent on this. Thanks
