2000 Ford Focus Motor Mounts

I need to replace the motor mounts on my Focus. The manual I have states to use a floor jack with a block of wood under the oil pan to lift the engine. Does this sound reasonable? Is this a DIY job? How difficult a job is this and any pointers or helps would be appreciated.

I had the mounts replaced on a 1986 chevy 2.5L four banger and the mechanic was kind enough to let me watch. He did pretty much what you're describing. I would consider this a DIY project.
