surging when Idling
HI,
I have a 1991 Honda Accord. The car idles erratically. It surges from 1000 to 2000 RPM continuouly when the car warms up and only when the car is in PARK or NEUTRAL. It doesn't do this when the car is cold. I have been told it is the IAC valve. I was told it also could be the Intake manifold gasket leaking air. What is the cause of this idle problem? I need to know since I am sick and tired of xxxx**** mechanics giving invalid info. Thanks. Either of these two remedies above are expensive.

Welcome to the Forums;
Most likely the ISC, I have repaired Honda's valve. There is a spindle that threads on and it unscrews off, by just taking the valve apart and threading it back together.
BTW: Your name calling isn't allowed nor appreciated
