No Heat 99 Dodge intrepid

My daughter has 1999 Intrepid that has been to the shop. Mechanics have flushed out the heater core and the door flap under the dash to direct air inside the car is functioning properly. Heater hoses are getting hot but just blows cold air. Mechanic says need to take to dealship to put on machine to check. Dealer wants $65 per hour to do this. Wanting to save $65. Please help.

I'm not a Mechanic but just a guess "Thermostat" could be stuck which causes cold air, replace it with new one brought from the dealership.

This car Thermostat housing breaks "crack'" down often so you should call dealership for factory warranty it should cover it.

I read that "Climate Control Thermostat" breaks down in this car.I don't know if it's same as the main Thermosat.

Other things to look at Heat Sensor, Temperature Sensor.

Computer that runs heater/air conditioner/ rear window defroster could break down.

Other thing I read was, you might have to remove fuse 19 for 5 Minute and then re-calibrate A/C control.

Good Luck!
