I want to use an air pump that is powerd by using an adapter for the cigarette lighter. The cigarette lighter won't work either with the pump or to light the hand held element. Is this form a burnt fuse and if so where would I check to see and replace if necessary? Or is it something else?

The cigarette lighter will be on a fuse either by itself or possibly with something small like the domelight. Should be clearly marked in your fuse panel. Also check that the wire(s) to the back of the socket are properly connected. Most lighter receptacles pull out fairly easily to check and you can also buy a replacement one at most auto stores; its a pretty generic item.

Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.
