Temp gauge not working
1995 Ranger with a 4 cylinder. The temp gauge does not work and I'm sure it's why the check engine light comes on. The heater works fine and the truck doesn't over heat, so the radiator system seems to work properly. Thanks!!!

The Temp Sending Unit is used for the Temp Gauge, ECT (Engine Coolant Temp Sensor is for the EEC System or Computer) Take the Temp Sending Unit wire OFF and Ground it. If gauge goes to hot Temp Sender is BAD. If the gauge does not move than it could be a gauge or wiring problem?
