fuel line leak 89 olds 98

Hi all,
I need to repair the fuel line on my 89 olds 98. The feed line has rusted at the fitting for the rubber line from tank right at the first frame bracket. I was wondering if this can be repaired by cutting the fitting of the rubber feed line and inserting a metal line and clamping with a hose clamp. Then using a piece of rubber fuel line to splice the two metal lines together. Will this be OK for the feed line?

Thanks for your help.

If you bubble flare the metal line and use fuel injection hose not regular fuel hose with double clamps at each end it will be fine.

Thanks, I just wanted to be sure something like this would hold the pressure. I went ahead and gave it a try today and it seems to be OK.

Again, thanks. I know I can come here any time I have a question.
