Question Oil Changes

I have pretty much adhered to the 3000mi/3 month oil changes with my ole 95 Corsica. But, recently I purchased a new truck and decided to keep the corsica as a 2nd since its value is so low.

So, I don't get anywhere near the 3000mi in a 3 months like I used to on the corsica and its closer to 4 months with the truck.

My question is...which is more important? The 3000mi or the 3 months? Or should I just stick with checking the oil to determine when determining when to change the oil in each?

Thanks,
Shawn

Time is an issue but not until you get up around 6 months. Stay with the mileage, you'll be OK.

It depends more on what kind of useage the car is getting. If it gets mostly highway miles, then you can usually pull it out longer, but city miles will dirty it up faster.
