93 Dynasty Troubles

I'm having trouble w/my friends dynasty. It's of course almost 0 outside and hard to work on very long so I tried a few quick things I could think of. It 1st died on him on the interstate on a balmy foggy night. He had to get it towed home. The next night was the same kinda weather. I looked at it the 2nd day, and when he cranked it I saw sparks from the plug wires all over so I assumed that was the problem. Well the temperature dropped down to 0 now and I changed the wires, didn't help. It would start, then die after 30 seconds or so. So I'm thinking fuel filter, so I changed that. Same thing. Started, ran 30 seconds or so. Days over and I don't feel like I got anywhere, any suggestions.

Check the inside of the distributor cap for signs of moisture or arcing, also the coil. You can spray all that with WD-40 and see if that helps.
