heat block question

Hello

I just have a simply question . I was wondering if it hurt your car at all if you were to start it while the heat block was plugged in. I would like to know this because up north here I always like to start it with my car starter without having to walk outside and unplug it first. It probably isn't a problem but I heard this from someone and figured I'd better check it out to be safe. Thanks

I'll assume you mean block heater.... no, there will be no concerns from running the motor with the block heater plugged in.

Just be sure to adjust your mindset so that your subconscious doesn't think " oh it's running, I can go". Be sure to pull the plug before you try to drive off.

Yep... funniest thing in the winter is watching that car in front of you "wagging it's tail" for miles and miles.
