Fixing Leather seats on F-150

Hi,
I own a 1997 F-150 4x4 off-road pick-up.It has a custom pkg wich has leather seats. The side of the drivers seat has cracks or tears Iam sure are from getting out of the seat, with the weight on the edge,as the truck sits high.I bought it last year, they were there, but have gotten worse with time.
Any ideas to repair this?It does have running boards, but are hard to catch on when getting out. Thanks

Replace the seat cover and inner support cushion.
