1997 GMC Suburban, 4L60E Trouble Code 740

1997 GMC Suburban, K1500, 4x4, 4L60E, 119,000 miles.
I recently scanned the computer and got five (5) trouble codes that start with 740, TCC Solenoid. The fuse is good and all the wiring connections look good.
Is it reasonable to replcae the TCC Solenoid ($29.00 at Advance Auto Parts) or should I take to a transmission shop for diagnosis.

What are the other codes? You said you have 5, you only listed 1. There is more to replacing the TCC solenoid than just removing it from the side of the trans. I think I would take it to a trans shop if you arent sure.

If all the codes are trans related I would check the ignition switch or power feed to the trans.
