Door Pin Switch?

Hi again everyone. Ok this may be a rediculous question. I have a 1997 Lincoln Continental. I can't find a simple door pin switch on the front passenger side! I know on older cars etc, it's that huge silver pin. I can't locate one on this car. Can anyone tell me where this simple little thing is? I feel kinda duh! Thanks for you help!

Mounted inside the door on the the door latch. At the bottom of the latch.

While on th subject it is very common for them to stick. Either the interior or door ajar lite will stay on.

The fix is easy just spray (drown) the latch mechanism with WD-40 and open and close the door, do each door acouple of times. You will have to do all doors till you find the culprit.

Hey thanks again guys! I knew WD-40 can fix everything! LOL ! Since i'm spraying there, I guess i'll hit all 4 doors and lube em all!

98',ford taurus. sometimes the right front directional will flash o.k.,other times it won't. works o.k. in the 'lane change position',but when moved to the hands free position it might work,or not. bulb o.k. Flasher problem?? if yes,where is the flasher located? Some other problem?? thanksRead More

DIY: I’m writing to ask your help with a very annoying problem that I’m having with my 2004 Hyundai Sonata. We recently purchased (Dec.) used from a dealer in OKC. OK. We live about 75 miles SW of OKC. And when we test-drove the car, the problem was not noticeable. It soon became apparent as my wife is the main driver; she and my grandson both told me they a were feeling a significant vibrations under them while sitting stopped in traffic waiting to accelerate and it very noticeable while she held on to the steering wheel while the car was idling and car stood engaged in drive. Passengers have noted the vibration from the back seat as well and said it feel like a massage vibrator. There is no vibration while driving at moderate or high speed, only in stopped or idle. We’ve taken it back (3 times) and they replaced the heads and did significant replacements of several motor parts with no improvement; in fact the problem has become more noticeable. They (service managers) have consulted with the Hyundai specialists and still no resolve. I have a return appointment this Monday (1-24-05) as they will be looking a several other possible solutions. The service managers are trying and very accommodating; one outside tech suggested something possible in the Torque converter assembly. Can you help us with any suggestion? John G in Ok.Read More
