Sun Damaged Car. Melted Dashboard.

Thanks for reading! This is my first thread.

I just purchased this car for 900$. It was an absolute great deal, a 1995 Kia in great condition, only problem is that it was not used for a year and was in direct sunlight.

Dashboard is peeled back, and color is disformed:

I just want to know any advice for how I can put it back into place (possibly through heating it?) which tools I could use to heat it, and what adhesive I could use to place it back down firmly. Any advice appreciated.

In all honesty, the only option you have is to replace the dash pad. I have seen many of these in varying stages of what you have there. Check your local Kia Dealer and see what the new dash pad will run ya, or check your local salvage yard for one with less damage.
Good Luck,
Billy

Next time, don't use the long-term parking lot in hell, diablo! No, just kidding.

I have never seen direct Sun create that much deformation in a dashboard. I would definitely contact Kia for advice, or check out Jcwhitney.com to see what options they have for covering the dashboard. Good luck!
